Choose solid fang caps for the sharpest, cleanest look, or an open face canine with a moissanite tip if you want sparkle while your natural tooth still shows. Either way, you can start with one fang or one pair, top or bottom, and add more later. Here is how the main fang styles compare and how to pick yours.

Fang grillz styles at a glance
| Style | What it looks like | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Solid fang (2 piece) | One polished, pointed cap on each canine | The classic look, clean metal with no stones |
| Single fang | One canine only | Ordered as a single tooth cap on the tooth you name |
| Open face canine | A metal frame around the canine with your natural tooth showing in the middle | A subtler look that reads as a design detail |
| Open face canine with a moissanite tip | An open face canine paired with a cap finished with an iced moissanite tip | Our best-selling grillz set |
| Double cap | A canine plus the incisor beside it, on one side | You tell us left or right |
| Box canine | A squared off canine cap instead of a point | A blockier look |
Solid fangs: the classic pointed look
A solid fang set is two pieces, one cap on each canine, in polished metal with no stones. The cap follows the line of your own canine, so the point stays in proportion to your tooth and reads sharp rather than costume. Many people start here because it is a simple way into custom grillz, and it is still the style people notice first.
Our 2 Piece Solid Canine Fang Grillz come in silver, gold plated silver, rose plated silver, black plated silver, and solid 10K or 14K gold in yellow, white, or rose.

An open face canine cap frames your natural tooth instead of covering it. Our best-selling set pairs an open face canine cap with a second cap finished with an iced moissanite tip. The polished frame keeps the look clean and natural, and the tip adds sparkle you notice every time you smile.
Moissanite has diamond-like sparkle and is one of the hardest gemstones, so it holds up well on grillz. If you would rather have lab or natural diamonds, message us for a custom quote. Our open face vs solid guide and our moissanite vs diamond guide go deeper on both choices. You can see the set here: Open Face Canine and Moissanite Tip Grillz.
One fang or a pair?
A pair puts one cap on each canine for a matching look on both sides of your smile. A single fang is one canine only, and it is a good way to find out how you like wearing grillz. Our Custom Single Tooth Grillz go on whichever tooth you name in your order notes. If you want a fang plus the tooth beside it, that is a double cap, and the grillz terms guide shows how single, double, and 2 piece sets differ.
Top or bottom?
Either one works. Tell us which pair you want when you order, and plenty of people order a top pair first and add the bottom later. The impression kit ships with every custom grillz order. One kit makes 2 impressions, which gives you 2 tries for a top-only or bottom-only set, or 1 try for a top and bottom set. The putty sets in about 3 minutes, and our perfect impression guide walks through it step by step.
Which metal should you choose?
Silver and plated silver are bright, easy-to-wear choices, and solid 10K and 14K gold bring real gold in yellow, white, or rose. Only solid gold is hallmarked with its karat. Silver and plated silver are never stamped. Our guides to silver vs gold, 10K vs 14K, and solid vs gold plated help you decide.
How do fang grillz fit?
Grillz are made to fit each person individually, and designs may differ based on your dental structure. Every set is made from your own impression, and we guarantee it fits that impression, which is why a good mold matters. Because each set is made from your own impression, it cannot go back on a shelf. That is why the first refit is free, and why our team walks you through the impression step by step. You can read the full details in our Return and Exchange Policy, and our guides on how grillz should fit and how grillz stay on your teeth explain what to expect.
Can you get fangs with a chipped, missing, or crooked tooth?
Often, yes. Cover-ups are available for missing or chipped teeth, and extra charges can apply. Send us a photo of your smile before you order and we will confirm what will work. Our guides on gaps and missing teeth and crooked teeth cover the details.
How long do fang grillz take?
Production takes 7 to 10 business days once your impression is received and verified, and most orders arrive 4 to 8 weeks door to door, depending on the design. Rush orders arrive 2 to 3 weeks from purchase, for U.S. orders only. If you have a deadline or you are ordering from outside the U.S., plan about 8 weeks ahead so there is time for a refitting. Our event timeline guide shows how to plan around a date.
What do fang grillz cost?
Custom grillz start at $149 in silver, $429 in solid 10K gold, and $549 in solid 14K gold. What you pay depends on the design, the metal, and any stones, so the current price for each set is on its product page. Our custom grillz cost guide explains what moves the price.
Caring for your fangs
Take your grillz out to eat, drink, and sleep, clean them with a soft brush and mild soap, dry them fully, and keep them in their case. Our grillz care guide has the full routine.
Which fang style should you choose?
Choose solid fangs for the classic sharp look. Choose an open face canine with a moissanite tip if you want sparkle with your natural tooth showing. Choose a single fang if you would like to try grillz with one tooth first. Whichever you pick, start with one row and add more when you are ready.
