Four bezel styles, each with its own character. The polished edge is our screw top, so the coin lifts right out whenever you like. Diamond-cut catches light along the rim. Rope edge is the timeless classic. A natural diamond frame gives the piece real presence. You can also take the coin on its own and decide later. Every style cradles the coin by its rim, with nothing drilled, soldered or glued.
Polished edge, our screw top
A clean, smooth 14k gold rim with a threaded top. Unscrew it and the coin lifts free.
Lovely if you think of the coin as something you hold onto as much as something you wear. Take it out whenever you like, or feature a different coin down the road without rebuilding the piece.
Worth knowing: those threads are cut to keep opening smoothly for years, which is careful work at the bench. The profile also runs a touch thicker, since threading needs metal to live in. The simple polished finish is the quietest of the four, which many people love.
Diamond-cut edge
The rim is cut with tiny facets that catch light as the pendant moves. No stones involved, just precision cutting into the gold itself.
Lovely if you want more sparkle than a polished edge without stepping up to set diamonds. It reads brighter in daylight and photographs beautifully.
Worth knowing: it sits between polished and rope in character. A little more decorative than plain, a little more modern than rope.
Rope edge
A twisted rope border runs around the outside of the bezel. This is the look most people picture when they imagine a coin pendant, and it has held that place for decades because it simply works.
Lovely if you want a classic coin piece with warmth to it. It suits a larger coin particularly well.
Worth knowing: the rope detail adds visual weight without adding much gold, so it is a generous look for what it costs.
Diamond edge, natural VS stones
A frame of natural diamonds set around the coin. We use natural stones in VS clarity here, not lab-grown, moissanite or CZ. If you would prefer one of those, just say the word and we will price it for you.
Lovely if you want the piece to have real presence. A diamond frame gives a 1/10 oz coin the scale of a much larger pendant, and it throws light in a way plain gold never will.
Worth knowing: it is the most substantial of the four, and the stones deserve the same easy care as any diamond piece.
Coin only
Worth saying plainly, because plenty of people do not realize it is an option. You can buy the coin on its own, with no mounting at all.
Lovely if you are buying for the gold first, or you are giving the coin as a gift and would like the recipient to choose their own setting. Bring it back to us whenever you are ready and we will build the bezel around it.

Compare all five optionsLet the coin size guide you
A 1/10 oz Eagle measures 16.5mm, a touch smaller than a dime. On its own it makes a quietly elegant piece. This is exactly where a diamond frame earns its keep, giving a small coin the presence of a far larger pendant.
A 1/4 oz Eagle is 22mm and carries a plain rope or polished edge beautifully on its own. If you are working with a 1/4 oz or larger and you love an understated look, rope edge is usually the happiest match.
Size shapes the wearing too. A larger coin swings a little more, so a slightly heavier bail is a nice touch.

The everyday size
From $929
Light enough to wear daily, and the size where a diamond frame makes the most striking difference. Gift box included.

People often assume the bezel style drives the price. It usually does not. The coin comes first, then the gold weight of the mounting, then any stones, and the bezel style last.
That is good news if you are working to a number. Tell us what you would like to spend and we will show you the loveliest piece that fits it. Often that means a slightly smaller coin with a style you really want, rather than the other way round.
Gold trades daily, so every quote we give reflects that day's gold. We will always tell you what we are pricing against.
The right chain
One detail that is easy to overlook. A solid gold coin pendant deserves a chain that can carry it comfortably. A 1/4 oz coin in a 14k bezel has real weight, and a delicate chain will feel the strain at the clasp over time.
Go a little heavier than you think you need. Already have a chain in mind? Bring it in and we will happily check it for you.
