Is this solid gold or plated?
Solid gold all the way through, in 10k or 14k, and karat stamped so any jeweler in the country can verify it. Nothing here is plated or hollow filled.
Does it come with a chain?
No, the pendant is sold on its own so you can match it to a chain you like. A rope, curb, or Figaro in 20 to 24 inches is the classic pairing.
What does INRI mean?
It is the Latin inscription placed above the cross, traditionally rendered on crucifixes. On this piece it sits across the top of the cross in raised detail.
This is a pendant with weight to it. The corpus and the scroll are worked in three dimensions rather than stamped flat, so light moves across the piece instead of sitting on it. It is the kind of cross people hand down.
