Is this solid gold?
Yes, solid two-tone gold in your choice of 10K or 14K. The Jesus figure is white gold and the anchor and cross are yellow gold, so the contrast comes from the metals themselves rather than a coating.
How large is it?
56mm tall by 30mm wide, which is a little over two inches. It is a statement piece and reads clearly from across a room.
What does the mariner cross mean?
It joins the anchor, a long standing Christian symbol of hope and steadiness, with the crucifix. Many people wear it for a connection to the sea, to service, or simply as a reminder to hold steady.
Open work you can see straight through, a ship wheel behind the figure, and anchor flukes that sweep out at the base. Every edge is polished, and the two golds keep the detail readable instead of letting it blur together.

- Solid 10K two-tone gold, the more affordable solid option

Common questions
What chain should I wear it on?
Something with real substance. A 3.5mm or heavier Cuban or rope chain carries the weight without the bail dragging the chain out of shape.
Is it hollow or solid through the body?
The design is open by intent, but the gold itself is solid. The cut outs are part of the mariner style, not a way of thinning the piece.
Can you engrave the back?
The back of this pendant is textured rather than flat, so engraving is limited. Message us with what you had in mind and we will tell you honestly whether it will read well.
Care
Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after wearing. Keep lotions, perfume, chlorine and household cleaners off the metal. Store it in the gift box or a soft pouch so it does not rub against other pieces.
